Management Styles Are More Effective Than Others - 1196 Words

Managing change in an organization can come in various forms. Are some management styles are more effective than others? Can some managers be more successful in managing change? Deciding on the two people that I wanted to interview for this project came very easy to me. I chose these two people based on my experiences in conversations with him that I have had in the past. I also chose these two people because of the amount of respect I have for them in their knowledge in business. Additionally, the community banking industry is one that I have been apart of for the last 13 years. For the purposes of this paper, we are using the name â€Å"Paul Bunion†. Paul works for a community ba nk. He asked that I not used his real name due to some of his strong viewpoints of his current employer. Paul has been in community banking for almost 30 years. He is held various positions many of them have included different types of change. In his current role, he is the Vendor Manager. When he started this position, it was brand-new to the bank and in the industry due to regulatory changes. Jessica’s vision and mission for The Core, is to create a healthy Hunt County. Through her two businesses she attempts to educate, her customers into create a more â€Å"preventative† lifestyle. In her view, by living a healthy life and eating the right foods, you can prevent the lot of Health issues that may arise later in life. In this aspect, both companies seem to work in tandem. CrossFit Mockingbird provides an avenue for people to become active and learn functional movements. The Sunshine Shoppe is a store where customers can buy supplements in order to fill in a ny gaps that their diet maybe lacking. This is also a place where the employees can answer any questions that you have about supplements. However, she sees these two businesses completely different.
